France or French Republic is a developed country and has been one of the most powerful countries in the world. It is the global center of art, science, and philosophy and they are the world’s seventh-largest economy. France is a member of the Group of Seven, leading industrialized countries. Also, there are industries of transportation, telecommunications, food industry, pharmaceutical products, tourism and luxury goods (leather goods, ready-made garments Perfume and liquor) that lead its economy. Financial services, banking and the insurance sectors are also important parts of their economy. Tourism is also one of them. It is ranked as the first tourist destination and has been the most visited country in the world with nearly 90 million foreign visitors every year. France has also the world’s fifth-largest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are 37 sites registered and a long tentative lists nationwide. Living in France
With a mass transportation system, travelling in France is so convenient. There are trains and public buses available. People also like to walk here. Most shops, restaurants, convenient stores and department stores are in the city center. Local markets are important because it is where you can buy food at good price. Living with a local host family provided by school is highly recommended accommodation because you will get to really live a language and learn their cultures as well. It is safe and save. You can also choose to live with your friends in a shared apartment or student dormitory with extra budget.
Some common activity after school is to sit in a park with a good book and a cup of coffee. Planning a trip to another city with your friends on holidays is also very interesting. There is an independent organization named Les Plus Beaux Villages de France, which mean “The Most Beautiful Villages of France”, founded to promote and preserving the legacy of the villages. Every village here is beautiful and classic; for example, the village of Eguisheim in Alsace, which they say it is the most beautiful village in France, or the village of Rochefort en Terre in Brittany, which is cute and colorful or the village of Vezelay in Burgundy, which is registered as a world heritage site as well. By all mean, studying in France definitely is the beginning to travel the world.
